History of ORT’s Honey Project:

Honey From the Heart was founded by a small group of volunteers who painstakingly labeled hundreds of honey jars, wrote out gift cards and addressed mailing labels by hand. Their modest endeavor raised a few hundred dollars.

Not wanting to limit this amazing project to Atlanta only, the founders started inviting other ORT chapters to sell Honey From the Heart and keep a portion of the profit. Over the years Honey From the Heart has experienced steady growth as people from all over the country, delighted to have received our honey, contacted us asking if their organization could sell it as well. Now ORT Atlanta offers participation to all kinds of Jewish non-profits includings sisterhoods, synagogues, religious schools, and other organizations.
