Beloved by Children and Grownups
Tot Shabbat at Temple Emanu-El is THE way to bring spirituality to your little ones from baby through 5-years-old. Rabbi Rachael and Rabbi Max lead a rockin’ Tot Shabbat almost every other week on Saturday mornings at 11:00am. Join your community for music, dancing, and laughter followed by Brooklyn Bagels and time on the playground.
Be a part of a growing group of young families building strong connections to their kehillah (community) and rabbis.
Tot Shabbat takes place OUTSIDE year-round! Depending on the weather we stay cool or warm with heaters or fans. We have options for sunshine out on the Schiffer Family Terrace Chapel or shade on the Goldstein Patio.
All you need to bring with you is an attitude for gratitude…and if you’d like, bring along a blanket, snacks, hat, and sunscreen!
Led by Rabbis
Tot Shabbat is led by Temple Emanu-El Rabbis Rachael and Max Miller. They have a passion for nurturing the spiritual lives of children and have a strong background in working with the littlest pray-ers in our community. Temple Emanu-El prides itself on prioritizing youth. The Rabbis Miller work with all of the congregation’s children, from birth through their young adult years. Services are musical, magical, and totally interactive.

Kid-ish
What is Shabbat Morning Kid-ish?
This is a time for families with kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade to come together to pray, dance, sing, and continue to build sacred relationships with your child(ren), rabbis and other congregational families. Want to talk about positive Jewish experiences? This is it! Sleep in, and then come on over to be with your community!
But Wait...There’s More
After services we sit together to enjoy everyone’s favorite bagels from Brooklyn Bagels!
Some weeks there will also be a youth event for the K,1,2 or 3,4,5 grade cohorts.
