vision

Our Vision

Together we are building a congregation of thought-leaders, spiritual seekers, and engaged Jewish change-makers.  Temple Emanu-El is infused with the dedication and hard work of its members.  Our vision is guided by these essential principles:

  • To foster strong Jewish identity in a complex world
  • To empower our congregants with passion for Jewish learning
  • To discover  beauty and joy through Jewish prayer, ritual, and observance
  • To nurture Jewish values that respond to the changing needs of modern families
  • To sustain a thriving congregation with dynamic youth engagement
  • To sing together as an inspirational and healing tool, with music as a focal point of connection
Learning

Our History

Temple Emanu-El was founded in 1978 by a daring group of Jewish families living on the north side of Atlanta. They pioneered a spiritual home for families to come together as a community in order to live a vibrant Jewish life. Our motto has always been, and continues to be: “Temple Emanu-El, where friends are family.”
