Who will feel comfortable at Temple Emanu-El? Expand

Our congregation, of over 700 member families, reflects the beautiful diversity of the Atlanta area. Temple Emanu-El welcomes Jewish families and individuals, with and without children, Jews of Color, LGBTQ Jews, Interfaith families, Jews by choice, and people who are at all stages of life, both young and young at heart.

How can I get involved? Expand

There are many ways to become involved with our Temple Emanu-El community and to become acquainted with other congregants. During your first months, we hope to get to know you so that we can connect you with programs, groups, and classes that complement your interests. We offer a warm and inviting atmosphere in which you can expand and explore your Jewish life.  We will invite you to special “new member events” during your first year with our congregation.

If you are interested in being part of a small group of temple members who get together to socialize, learn, and enjoy Jewish living, we will help you join a Chavurah. As you engage actively with your fellow congregants, you will not only grow your Jewish experience, but you will also strengthen the synagogue community to the benefit of all.

How do I meet the clergy and staff at Temple Emanu-El? Expand

We encourage you to get to know our rabbis, cantor, educators, executive director, and other staff by attending Shabbat services and by your active involvement in our programs and activities. You may also request a private meeting with any of our clergy or staff.

What about membership dues? Expand

Your 100% tax deductible membership contribution to Temple Emanu-El makes it possible for us to build and maintain a synagogue community that secures the future for the Jewish people.

All Jews, or those with Jewish partners, are welcome to become members. To learn more about membership, contact our executive director Stephen Blick or fill out the Membership Interest Form below.

Click here to view our 2023-2024 Membership contribution levels.

Temple Emanu-El opens its doors to all who wish to be a part of our community. If circumstances do not allow you to contribute fully based on our contribution levels, we can help.  All requests for dues relief are subject to review by the financial committee, and all information will be kept strictly confidential.
