Two Service Options
The High Holy Day Services at Temple Emanu-El reflect the majesty and awe of the season. With two morning services we have the opportunity to meet the varied tastes of our congregation. Our Aleph Service (Early) features a more traditional approach to the liturgy without the choir. Our Bet service includes Cantor and Choir. Of course one of the rabbis delivers an inspirational sermon during both services.

Children's Service
Our unique children’s services, geared toward 4-10 year olds, on the first morning of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning brings an upbeat flavor with stories and songs.
-
Kids Club
While parents are participating in the Aleph service, their children can take part in meaningful, fun Judaic activities. Children will be able to learn about the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and prepare for the upcoming holiday of Sukkot. Our program incorporates games, stories, music, arts and crafts, and a snack. Kids Club is geared to school-aged students, Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Shofar Blast
One of the most beautiful parts of worship at Temple Emanu-El is the participation of many congregants in various roles. The strong family feeling is exemplified by the final shofar blast on Yom Kippur with all who have a shofar either real or plastic are invited to the bima for the concluding blast.
