Grief comes in many forms and may impact mourners in different ways and at different times in the mourning process. Although there are formal stages of mourning through Jewish tradition (shiva, shloshim, the first year, yahrtzeits, and Yizkor), sometimes these stages don’t always align with the way we process grief and we could use a little extra help.
If you are struggling, please reach out to our clergy and/or we recommend that you reach out to the Atlanta-based organization, AgeWell Atlanta. This organization is a collaborative partnership to help older adults and caregivers navigate the aging process. Grief counseling is just one of the many areas covered by this organization.
